I just realized (from this site) how minimal railway system is in Greece and South Italy.

Our governments (Italy) just build infrastructure in the north, then do a pikachu face when there aren't big companies anywhere else.

I'd say that's just like the UK except the infrastructure is all in the south, but the UK government is currently in denial about any of their own actions having gone wrong at all at any point, so no Pikachu face.
