Not shocking, Im kind of ok with most of this. Feeling a bit bumbed about this though: > Additionally, Intel will cancel its upcoming Lancaster Sound GPU for its Flex Series of data center GPUs. These GPUs are designed for lower-intensity work, like media encoding. Instead of pushing forward with Lancaster Sound, Intel will focus on the next-gen Melville Sound products for the Flex series. That was such a cool product. Heck yes give me a low-power card with a bunch of encoders (& hopefully some modestly ok-ish VDI)! Hopefully the next go is great. It does seem perhaps a bit smart, on all these fronts, to just not release, rather than let quite mediocre products get out there & underwhelm. |
