Israeli doesn't equal Jewish (where the mother rule matters). Many Jewish people oppose the establishment of Israel, meanwhile many Israelis consider themselves Jewish by race and don't follow Judaism or even believe in the existence of God. France won so many wars and battles against Algerians since 1832. People like you would have said "give up, you've lost", but they continued to resist and won their freedom in 1962. |
