It sounds like you're describing the studio system of early Hollywood (of which I admit I have very limited understanding, most of which comes from watching Singing in the Rain). As I understand it, the directors, writers, and actors were employees of the studios, and studios produced dozens of films on a rapid cycle. Assuming that really is the best model for the future, how do you prevent the new Hollywood from turning into the old Hollywood again? |
