YouTube shows adds on videos even if they are not chosen for monetisation by the creator. Not all, but some. They even show adds on channels which have not reached the viewership metrics required to apply to be allowed to monetise your content in the first place. The only difference in these cases is YouTube keeps all the advertising revenue generated. |
