That endgame supposes there is a finite space of possible things to do which machines will eventually have an absolute advantage over. My belief is that it is more likely that as we leverage human ingenuity more with machines, that ingenuity, alongside artificial intelligence, will be freed to pursue greater things. Simply projecting time is correlated with mechanization with is further correlated with job supply decay to Pluto may not be valid. I do not, at the same time, see a future for un-skilled or semi-skilled labour. |
