Doesn't matter.

Economy of scale will give china cheaper and saver energy on a scale and speed which will put them further.

Cheap energy means: Cheaper products, cheaper iron ore, cheaper everything.

It means cheap energy storage, which also implies cheap EVs.

It also will mean (if the coal thing is true) in the longer term cleaner air (when it overtakes coal), higher life expectensy and higher productivty.

While in parallel we in europe have had big issues with russia and energy dependency.

Except it won't work. The intermittency problem of renewables doesn't make them cheaper - there is no low-cost solution to that. The intermittency makes energy more expensive. Further, their population is already shrinking. Labor costs will start to rise quite rapidly in Chain, making things more expensive.

Renewable penetration hasn't made energy cheaper anywhere where it is a significant portion of the supply grid.

That's a theory on which whole Energiewende project was based on. Seeing that now Germans have on of the most expensive electricity in the Europe, we can safely assume that cheap + renewable energy does not come together.
Germany's cost of generating electricity is very middle of the pack for Europe. Most of the variation is in different tax approaches.

Some countries get you to pay for every unit, incentivizing efficiency and other countries just nationalize failing Energy companies and add the cost to the general tax burden.

Nope thats not true.

We in germany suddenly stopped the investments for it and killed it.

But still articles are written on how this energiewende was pushing solar to much cheaper prices globally.
