I've always wondered if this is the reason why still a lot of people hold the belief that "blue collar jobs are real jobs". Could it be that it's a subconscious biological trait that (over-)rewards physical activity? Even further, it feels like such beliefs are held by men much more often. Which would suggest that, subconsciously, we might know what will increase our chances of successfully producing offspring(speaking in strictly evolutionary terms).

I also find it fascinating how nature evolved us that way. Imagine 30-50k years ago, the better hunter you are (which would be tied to running longer distances) the better chance of producing offspring. I wonder how 10k years of our current lives will make humans' bodies evolve

Not always the case. Some were smarter, made better tools, worked better as a team, etc. It's not all just running longest distance. It depends on the location, weather, and surroundings too. And there's research that shows our ancestors primarily ate plants/fruits.
