Not sure the mechanics behind the scenes, but I bought a HD DVD player (and am still bitter that it lost - everything was CSS and JS, not weird bastardized Java), shortly before it was discontinued, and Best Buy sent me a check for $150 or $200 out of nowhere as a result. |
