Warm introductions are the key. Find a couple of target funds and see who they recently invested in. Try to reach out to the founders of those companies for advice / chat. Ask if they can give you an introduction to one of the funds and give them a forwardable blurb with your deck. Once you get a meeting with a well-respected firm, they will likely be willing to introduce you to other VC firms. This is just my 2 cents based on working as contractor at a VC in San Francisco. Like most things, there's many other ways to get your foot in the door. |
