As pretty as it is, this is not a page that should transfer 116.28 MB of data while I'm on it.

You're right, but as one who thinks we've kinda optimized the fun out of the internet over the last years I can't really fault it for being suboptimal.

While I don't want all webpages to be like this, I like that this was made, rather than the developer thinking "this seems too much of a hassle to make efficiently, so I'm not going to do it".

It takes a good two minutes to show anything on a mobile phone. Considering most of it could be done with CSS, I don't get what's the need for such a gigantic payload. Moreover, I find it very hard to navigate. Not a fan.
The payload consists mostly of a lot of absurdly high-resolution images (that are very small on-screen).
