Somebody like Richard Dawkins is missing from the conversation. I believe he pointed out once that in a 300m person economy, million-to-one chances might happen 300 times, albeit to 300 somebodies out there, not you, all things being equal. It's like the observational biasses which go to "busses come in threes" or "the other lane is always moving faster" aren't being integrated into thinking. Dots will be connected. OMG! every ancestor I ever had lead directly to me! it must be in the plan.. |
