While my experience has lined up with the content of this post, I also think the conclusions only apply to a narrow set of organizations and products. There are a lot of products, especially in enterprise or B2B where the customer is not someone asking for a faster horse. They themselves are innovators and they want something they’ll use and pay for. So there is certainly value in pouring through the data and finding the best value to build next. And for that a PM is pretty important to lead product. |
