Twitter removed MFA from my account. Anybody else?

(Yeah yeah Twitter is garbage I know). With all the Twitter Blue SMS stuff going on I checked my account settings and saw that MFA was turned off. I’ve had it on for like a decade, and I definitely didn’t turn it off.

I’ve had a couple coworkers also confirm the same thing happened to their accounts. This feels like it should be a big deal, right?

They could've at least emailed the affected users. Seems like they just want to save costs again.

"Effective March 20, 2023, only Twitter Blue subscribers will be able to use text messages as their two-factor authentication method. Other accounts can use an authentication app or security key for 2FA."

Yeah I’m not talking about SMS MFA. I’ve been using an Authenticator since god knows when. Had to re-enable it this morning.
