Hey there! I'm an old fuddy duddy, too. Continuous deployment has been around long enough that even IBM (remember never getting fired for buying IBM?) talks about it. https://www.ibm.com/topics/continuous-deployment "Dark deploys" and "feature flags" are often used to keep customers safe from incomplete features while still giving all of the advantages of CD plus allowing testing in production.
