I'm confident that you're not jumping from "asking nicely is not a solution" to "using force or deception is fine." It's just that, if the argument in my last paragraph did become widely accepted, it would lead to a pretty brutal society. (And, of course, it is becoming pretty widely accepted where software is concerned.) |
