I participated in Maciej's Antarctic trip crowdfunding, and got way more than my money's worth from his writings, simply some of the best on the web, bar none. Check out his amazing series on Yemen (just before the civil war erupted, but the uneasiness was clearly there). And the Alameda-Weehawken Burrito Tunnel is pure comedic genius, as is Argentina on Two Steaks a Day.
