For Netflix's DVD service, pre-streaming, their recommendation system was awesome. You know, the one where they had the contests and paid $1M to any group that could do better by some percentage? IMO, they don't use anything like that now for streaming. It's as others have said: this is what we want you to watch, not what you necessarily will like. |
