For every opinion, you will find a suitable study on the subject. But what I think is obvious is that if you don't look at the actual gaming itself, you'll notice that other activities are being crowded out by the excessive use of video games. Many friends from my youth still play 5+ hours of video games a day. They don't seem very happy and many of them lack perspective. In other words, do we want our kids to spend hours a day playing Fortnite when there are alternatives like sports activities or spending time with friends and family?
