I just watched a relevant interview between Dwarkesh Patel and Marc Andreessen[1] where they discussed James Burnham's ideas on how a manager class inevitably arises once a corporation reaches scale in order to maintain the machine. Unfortunately innovation and building suffers once the managerial class takes over. The culling of managers indicates Zuck maybe isn't quite ready to abdicate and there is more growth/innovation ahead? [1] https://youtu.be/kNsi5XVDTTM?t=580 |
