Thank you for sharing! Fun to read a story of someone sticking around for so long and not jumping ship frequently. Curious, as an early engineer, what were some things that Sumo Logic did really well that made you want to stay there beyond four years?

I love building developers' tools. I also got great experience the team and technological stack.

Right bets: 1. AWS cloud all-in. Infra as code. 2. Microservices. 3. Scala

Wrong bets: 1. Lack of throttling traffic and limits 2. Misuse neo4j as a store of all metadata. 3. We overengineered some stuff.

Would you choose Scala again (assuming you're starting similar project today)?
Not sure. If I stay in JVM, I may opt for Kotlin.
