I don't know which grade is imported by which brand, but we eat a lot of dried figs here (in Turkey), and I know no one felt sick after eating, even considerable amount of these things. Fresh figs are so expensive because they're extremely delicate and have extremely short shelf life if produced naturally. Human body is much more resilient than it looks and our food contains much more than meets the eye. Somebody noted FDA's limits about bugs, so I'll not reiterate it here. |
