Yeah, and the thing about bad milk is that it'll be unpalatable long before it will make you sick. Just sniff it or sip it. You will easily tell whether or not it's good to drink.

Also milk can go bad before the printed date even when stored properly. Or, it can last longer.

As you say, the taste/smell test is best.

but don't sniff it from the carton. it always smells bad in there after you open it once due to the lid.
