We still have to contend with the implicit sync issues when dealing with NVIDIA drivers; there has been work to untangle the mess there, but it's not done yet to my knowledge. Context: https://www.collabora.com/news-and-blog/blog/2022/06/09/brid... Edit: also a NixOS user, BUT: I am suggesting something more like SteamOS with ABRoot. It's not exactly a solved problem, but I think that future solutions should be focused on not needing to modify the root to deal with things like drivers and system configuration. |
