I’m a big fan of Positive Parenting as taught by the YouTube channel Live On Purpose TV. They seem to be Mormon but they never actually admit it. It’s just great stuff, practical advice. It strikes my partner and I as common sense which is a good sign I think. Find a school of thought that fits and then tune in for tips and relatable stories.

that's how they rope you in, ditto for scientologists. create good impressions, build a base, and then snipe a few of the biggest fans, focus on them and try to build converts.

common in other propaganda and marketing approaches, too; e.g. Pepsi v Coke, or subreddits about normal days in Russia, etc.

I see what you mean but these are well educated professionals who are just choosing to practice their positive psychology outside of their religious “niche”. Personally I’ve had a ton of great secular experiences with religious people, I’m sorry if you haven’t. Mormons, Sikhis, Muslims and many people at my Catholic University. I’ve learned a lot from them.
