Agreed, I see plenty of tech jobs in the public and non-profit sectors. Problem is that they're not paying what would be considered acceptable to a big tech worker. I saw a 20-something on TikTok saying that she feels like her compensation should be ~500K/year. That's a rate at our org where you're talking about multiple exec salaries combined. It's not based in reality for the vast majority of the country. This feels a bit like golden handcuffs. |
