I have a short list of language patterns which I think are antipatterns in marketing. I think "Hybrid X" is one of them, exacerbated by "Hybrid working" being a prevalent term during the pandemic which many people felt was the worst time in their lives. (I think "X-verse" is another one... Practically I think it means "something that has no place for you in it" or "move along folks nothing more to see here") That said I do think people are going to work from home sometimes and work at the office sometimes in the future and it certainly has been normalized by recent events. Today we're expecting three inches of snow plus we popped a tire on the car and are waiting for a mechanic to set a new Blizzak on the rim. I might be the most enthusiastic person in my workgroup to go to the office, but it is a great day to work by the woodstove. |
