Ask HN: Selling My Soul as an NFT
1 points by warmstart 1246 days ago
So my friend and I had this fun idea that we could let people mint & sell their 'souls' as NFT's. We plan to use authillo to prevent people from creating multiple accounts so users can only mint a single 'soul'. Ideally users would upload a picture of their face, and we'd do some AI art transformation to make their face into some randomized soul-like image. We've never developed any web3 applications so we're looking for a place to start... any suggestions? Also, has anyone come across a project like this already?

Yes, that was already a thing back when NFTs were a thing some people cared about
Exactly. I was having some serious deja vu.

Pretty sure there was someone who was planning to do exactly this with his own "soul." It might have been right here on HN.

Hard pass. I'm not giving you a detailed map of my face to sign up and then turning on my camera every time I have to log in.

Based on our config you'd only have to verify your face once to mint the token... not to login every time. Any alternatives you'd recommend to guarantee someone doesn't create multiple accounts?
First, sell digital kidneys. Make your experience. Selling souls is a much bigger caliper
