They're speculating, but neither you nor I know if that hypothesis is correct. Side effects and downstream effects are common across almost all drugs. It's not absurd or unfounded to hypothesize an explanation for the correlation researchers observed. It could be the case, it could be something else or it could be the case that the correlation means nothing. |
