Python or JavaScript Library (personal project) Ideas

I'm taking a class that requires us to build a "tool or a library" (in Python or JS) rather than an application. The issue is I don't really know what I'd be interested in creating as I've only ever built applications/websites. I'm interested in classical music, halal food, UFC, and coffee brewing. Would anyone be willing to throw some general ideas in my direction?

Take a look at some of the applications/websites you've built and identify shared dependencies / libraries and build a slimmed down version of one.
