I have an X1 Yoga that I got here in the Netherlands, and I had plenty of choices when configuring it, including OS. What are you missing exactly?

I was looking to buy a Lenovo Thinkpad T14 Gen 3, and I could not get a better screen resolution than 1920 x 1200. I just checked and 3840 x 2400 is now available. They may have had supply chain issues. But it's too late for me.

Also, their ARM laptop is only available with Windows.

Almost everyone with thinkpad gets the windows version and just puts linux on it. It's relatively easy, depending on your distro.

When I was looking at getting an X1 Carbon, the US site had better options for things like the screen etc
