Makes no sense. People aren't buying the Fire because they want a nice, inexpensive tablet. Hardware wise, it's very similar to a lot of existing tablets (that hardly anyone wants). People are buying the Fire because of the tight integration with Amazon. Installing Android 4, no matter how easy, will ruin that integration.

Out of curiosity, does 'competition' always mean 'enemy'?
