I can relate to you. This is me currently. I ended up transitioning into a leadership position with a dev team as well, and I don't love it either. It's a lot of 1-on-1s and stakeholders. So many meetings. I don't have any shares, but I just found a new job in a smaller shop as a dev. I know that's what I want to do, so I just went for it. It's slightly lower paying than my current job, but I know I'll be happier. Honestly, if I were you, I would ask them to hire a Manager and if that doesn't go, I would look elsewhere. |
