The CFA has a foundations course that should be more comprehensive than this, instead of focusing just on financial accounting. It's free, online, and you can earn a cert for it.
When I took it, it was still $250. The course was free and you paid to take a cert test at a testing center. The following year they made the whole thing online and free.
