Fair point, but for what it's worth, you can use a different DNS service even if you leave the domain registration with GoDaddy (or whoever). I have domains registered with GoDaddy, Namecheap, Amazon, Google, etc., but use Amazon Route 53 for all of my DNS (well, I think I finally got around to moving everything. Let's just say that everything important in on Route 53 at least). That said there are plenty of good reasons to move away from GoDaddy. I have a few domains that at still with them just out of inertia (read: laziness) but I'll probably move them eventually. At the very least, it would be nice to consolidate all of my domains in one place. |
