In weight training this is also referred to as "tempo" and can be expressed as a set of 4 numbers. Eg: 2 - 0 - 4 - 0 Which would mean: 2 second up, pause 0 seconds, negative for 4 seconds, pause 0 seconds start again. Adjusting the tempo is a big part of most advanced training schedules. If you do any training beyond simple resistance training I feel like you would encounter the concept. It's very old. |
