As a person in college right now, I think you should do what you think is best for you. If you end up regretting not going to college, you can always go back and get your bachelors and pay for it yourself. As for why I went to college; I made that decision because I didn't really know what I wanted to do or where I was headed and I wasn't experienced at all in programming or any CS related topics. The main benefit for me was being in an environment where I was introduced to new CS topics/ideas. As for having a deep understanding of those topics and how to implement them, I had to self study/teach myself. My point is, is that you shouldn't feel pressured to do anything. You need to make a decision that works best for you because the value of uni/college is, and will be, different for everyone. :) |
