PS1, ironically could be fixed with this trick.

Wasn't the trick to completely flip the ps1? I'd assumed the cause was issues with the cd drive alignment and the fix was to let gravity help

Optimal angle once it started skipping was clockwise about 100 degrees, 90 would eventually rub too. My old PS1 still works at that particular angle.
