for me the series x is the ugliest console in decades. the button placement, the connections placement, the weird dimensions, the colors. it looks like it has no taste, no finesse, truly a microsoft product. for this reason it stays out of sight. and then you boot it up and realise that the same lack of taste is evident in the os as well.
the ps5 on the other hand is just too big and heavy, otherwise it looks interesting, might not be at the same level of design finesse as the ps4. but to me it looks a bit more like a next gen console, more polished than the series x and this definitely holds true when you boot it up. and practicality wise i can open up the ps5 to clean, which is a major advantage. unfortunately it’s definitely a showcase device, and lots of folk don’t have the space for these kinds of devices. they do have space for boxy devices thou.
