I just remembered a anecdote of a friend, many years ago, telling me that he suspected that his internet was not working properly because perhaps the ethernet cable to his computer was to tight in a part of the installation. I remember I teased him by saying: Ah, sure, in fact, if you press well enough the cable the kilobytes are gonna start accumulating and the cable will might eventually explode! (like a hose)
