That's not what he said at all. I don't use couchdb either but I do follow the nosql space a little and what I read was that he's creating an all-new project. Couchdb is an Apache foundation-led project and will continue on its own path. Couchbase is an all-new project that will solve some of the same use-cases but be better at scaling. It's not a fork at all. |
