Of all the things I ever learned, Calculus shifted my world view the most, it is truly amazing. Math could be shifted to be more modern, maybe understanding statistics and maybe boolean logic. There is a common foundation.

Even computer programmers should know calculus, or at least trig. Sure, you can write some software without it, but you will be very limited without solid math.

Image processing, FFTs, machine learning will be beyond you without Calculus. Understanding the foundations will be unreachable.

100% agreed. Understanding calculus lets one understand rates of change and thereby modeling. If you know the fundamentals of modeling via calculus, the understanding of so many things opens up and goes beyond just being able to understand things at a high level.
