Speed at impact: 87mph (140kmph)

Time of fall: 4 seconds

I can't imagine the dread during those 4 seconds of free fall.

Looking at the state of the car, I don't think it was freefall but more like a tumbling, which is definitely going to be more survivable than a head-on at 87mph.
