This is my worry as well, and I think the governments (out of all entities) could assist here. I (EU member) already have an ID card and a government issued electronic signature, perhaps a service like reddit could just ask me to sign something to verify that I'm a real and unique human being. Of course there are all kinds of risks of people being hacked, no throwaways, leaked signatures being traded, government refusing to issue IDs to whistleblowers on the run, and so on. |
