The number of electric devices added to the grid is likely a predictable percent increase every day/month/year, and likewise, the acceleration of that change is probably somewhat predictable, too. This is not to say we shouldn't be concerned, but denying yourself the most energy efficient technologies available (EVs, heat pumps, etc) because you're afraid of power outages 5-10 years from now seems like overkill. |
