I disagree, don't do leetcode. I've never done leetcode and was always able to find reasonably-high-paying jobs.

Instead, my suggestion would be to focus on improving your English. I've been on the other side of the hiring table, and poor English is a red flag, and I have no doubt companies will immediately reject candidates that don't demonstrate mastery of the English language. I'm of course assuming you're applying for global companies, and not companies that operate in your native language.

The places paying the top comp do the leetcode interviews. If there are companies you know of paying $300k+ without leet code, post that here.

My experience in both big tech and SV start ups has been leet code interviews, and lessor focus on English. To be specific as long as you can explain a problem and solution in simple words, Pete don’t really care about developers not having sharpest grammatical skills or polished writing.

Companies like amazon will pick your writing skills to death but only once you’re at senior or staff level. At the junior level it’s all about execution.

Also what is “reasonably” high paying for you? If you have PhD or been in the industry for a while sure you can get $700k/ year job.

But I am just a bachelor with less than 5 yrs of exp.

There are dev jobs like that, though I wouldn't say they're common.

Any staff level engineer at big tech is making that much in total comp (salary, bonus and equity). I have a friend who was making over $1 million/year including equity.
