I am this exact position. I had a separate account (work related) and personal one. It boiled down to me knowing that I value influence and authenticity more so I used my personal account. It's easier to make arguments and discussions with people knowing who you are vs a pseudonym. You do need to be a bit careful about words (as you always should) because people interpret them differently. Also, accept the fact that you cannot please everyone and that there will be people that are for and against you.
