The two-party problem is directly caused by first past the post election system - I’d like to see data from other countries, my guess is party plurality is as strong as ever there.
It depends on the voting system in those countries. There’s a lot that hasn’t been mirrored in the newer democracies, too, like the Senate and Electoral College.
