It sounds like your on-call should be structured so that people aren't allowed to be with their family on important holidays. My company does this as well. I find it distasteful and exploitative. Of course, the response is always "just find someone to cover!" You're a good person for doing that. You shouldn't have to. Your family wont be around forever and no board of directors is worth a single minute with your family. |
