FIT is one of a big reason. Current price is somewhat fair but earlier price was too expensive, and some crappy constructors build many solars at the time by destroying environment. It's sad that solar overall is hated by some people. Tokyo decided that every new built house must have solar, that is good IMO because it's free space, but now criticized. Anyway note that Twitter and Yahoo News is heavily biased.
